I have not watched this movie for such a long time..so thought that i would look it up and rewatch it. Here we are in 2023 and this movie was made in 1947..what a lovely storyline it has...it brings back a lot of childhood memories.....Thankyou

I watched this movie years ago and enjoyed it. Seeing it again, I’m able to truly appreciate the sweet romantic fantasy of a soul connection.

My husband died 9years ago and I'm messing him so much.

Subject: An Actually Good 1940s Romance Film

For the last few days, I've been watching any 1940s romance films I could find. I've watched about ten films fo far, but this is the only film that I feel isn't extremely dated, not creepy, and genuinely romantic. I'm so glad I found this film! The cinematography and writing is SO good! Unlike all the other 1940s romance films I've seen, this story was actually coherent and easy to follow along. I love the great messages this film has, as well!

Subject: Wonderful Movie

I discovered this move when I was about 16. I thought it was great it came out the year I was born, along with being a good movie, but it somehow did leave an impression on me, I didn't know about at the time. A lot of years and ladies have come and gone. Some Ladies stayed a while, then left, one didn't!
But when I met my wife of the last 28 years, I knew there would never be another I could love as I do her.
I just finished watching this movie again for the umpteenth time.
I finally get it. I can still feel my wife's presence even now. She passed away 12/11/2021 from Dementia.
This movie means even more to me now than every.

Subject: one of the post romantic movies ever

I was 15 when I saw this movie, on french tv (I m french) ciné-club. I Never forgot the impression it made on me, thought it was such a tragic but beautiful story, between a young lady, mother, willing to be independant and fighting against rigid educationnal habits of this time, and falling in love with a strong personality, but ghost, and Also with a bad Guy, and finally living all her years alone... till she met her Only love again. I am 58 now but still watch it with such great pleasure, Gene Tierney was a fabulous and sublime actress, feel sorry for all the pain she had. Enjoy this jewel !
